Basement Sports Celebrates the Holidays

Be it a full day tournament or one-off game, once your players are ready to go, Start the Game on the League Admin or Home Team’s phone.

Balls and Strikes are pretty simple – if it hits the standing Mat (including skimming the corners), it’s a Strike. If there is no third party ‘Umpire’, disagreements warrant a Redo. Play fair!

With ball in play, as long as it’s not an ‘automatic’ extra base hit (ie. when ball hits ‘outfield’ wall or a designated piece of furniture), there is a live play at 1st Base.

Pitcher/Fielder has to throw the ball to 1st Base mat before the Batter/Runner makes it there. Tie goes to the Fielder by Default; change Rules at your own discretion.

Use Field Markings to denote ‘automatic’ Singles, Doubles, Triples, Fouls and Home Runs along the walls, poles or other field boundaries. No need for Batter to run when markings are hit. Ceilings are Foul by Default, unless you designate certain ‘deep’ areas of ceiling (as in above this black pole above) as extra base hits.

One of the 2 Players or a 3rd Party ‘Umpire’ can keep score and stats along the way. Track Balls & Strikes, or go straight to Outs. By Default, non-forced runners don’t advance on ground outs.

Customer Reviews

My kids and their friends play for hours in the basement, managing their own leagues and tournaments. I’ve never seen them have so much fun as when they’re in their Basement Sports Zone!”

When it’s cold out or after dark, my boys have a great option to stay off their screens and get a good sweat, while having a blast.”
